Zig Zag becomes GO Sharing

To create the best possible experience Zig Zag and GO Sharing have joined forces. Eventually all electric mopeds will be fully GO Sharing branded, for now you recognise us by our yellow & green co-branding.  
To make use our e-mopeds you need to download and use the Zig Zag Sharing app. Check it out, there is always a moped near you!    
Locate:
You can see all available vehicles on the map in the Zig Zag Sharing app. Reserve your vehicle, you then have 30 minutes to get to the vehicle.
Start:
Yes! You’ve found your GO Sharing vehicle. First check for any damages and report this in the app. Start your ride by scanning the QR code or click on ‘start’ in the app. Have fun driving!
Drive, park & enjoy:
In need of a short pit stop during your ride? Then use the ‘parking mode’ for only €0.29 per minute. The moped will turn off, but it’s still only available for you.
End your ride:
You only can end your ride in the service area. In the app this area is marked light green. Park the e-moped properly at a designated location and press ‘End ride’.

Frequently Asked Questions

The booking lasts 30 minutes and is free of charge. All you need to do is reach the scooter you have booked in 30 minutes otherwise it goes back to being available for another booking. If you wish to modify your booking, you need to cancel the previous one after which you will be able to book again. You can cancel the booking through the app or website with ‘Cancel the booking’ option. Once cancelled or expired, the booking is possible again after 60 minutes. In case of an immediate necessity to book please contact our Customer service center which will be happy to assist you. Booking a scooter is very simple:
  1. Go to our APP or website and enter the username and password created during the registration phase. At this point you will be shown a map with all the scooters available for the rental. Pick the one you need and book it.
  2. The booking lasts 30 minutes, time you have at your disposal to reach the scooter and start your rental by pressing ‘Start the rental’ option on our app or website.
Go to our APP or website www.zigzagsharing.com to see our service area and the fleet at your disposal, find the closest vehicle to you and book it. If there are no vehicles available in your selected area at the moment, use the RADAR option on our APP to find out when the vehicle becomes available again. You bumped into a Zig Zag and want to know if it’s available? Go to our address or plate finder to see if you can start the rental.
Once the scooter has been booked, it’s only 2 clicks away from the rental. To start the rental, you will have to:
  1. Get to the scooter you have selected and start the rental through our app by pressing ‘START THE RENTAL’ option.
  2. Press the red button on the dashboard. If you forget to do this, our APP will remind you about it before every rental. You will be asked to insert your PIN, a personal code allowing you to unblock the seat and initiate the rental. This could take up to a few seconds. In case of a failure you can try again.
  3. After unblocking the seat, below you will find:
  • A helmet plugged to a jack. If you wish to use a Zig zag helmet and not your own just unplug it from a jack.
  • disposable under helmet caps.
  • a key that unlocks the scooter’s trunk where an extra helmet is stored and ready to use once unplugged. The key to the trunk is also connected to a jack that needs to be placed under the seat upon completing the rental or in case of a temporary park.
  1. At this point, ‘START THE SCOOTER’ option on our APP needs to be selected to activate the instrument panel.
  2. From now on, the scooter is ignited just press the ignition button at the right side of the handle bar while lifting the left lever of the brake to get it going.
During this procedure, turning the throttle will prevent the scooter from starting. Moreover, for safety reasons, make sure the scooter is not placed on the side stand.  Even with the panel instrument on, the engine will not set off if the side stand is put up. Don’t forget to wear the helmet! When booking or renting the scooter, you can check out our tutorial or get in touch with our customer service center.
If available, the scooter will be shown on the map with a black and yellow pin. Otherwise search for the scooter with the plate finder and book it if for free. The zig zag scooters all have green, red and yellow led lights. By pressing the red button positioned next to these lights, the yellow led light in the middle will be ignited. At first when fixed, the yellow light shows that the scooter is connecting. Once the yellow light starts flashing, 15 to 20 seconds later, the scooter will be connected and ready for rental.

To end the rental:
  1. Park the vehicle in the designated areas as well as within the service area.
  2. Turn the engine off by pressing the button on the dashboard
  3. Select ‘end the rental’ option on the App
  4. Unblock the seat and place the helmet back in by plugging it into the jack
  5. In case you are using the second helmet as well, place it back into the rear trunk, plug it back into the jack and put the keys of the trunk back in the compartment below the seat
  6. Close the seat
  7. The app will run the final check up to make sure helmets and the keys are back where they belong and that the seat has been successfully closed
  8. In case the seat hasn’t been closed properly use ‘Unblock the seat’ option to open it again then close it and press ‘try again’ option on the app to run the final check
  9. Leave the feedback about the scooter and potential damage
  10. a confirmation page and a summary of a successful end of the rental will be displayed on the app
  11. make sure the data shown is correct.
Wherever you can ride with a normal scooter! You are allowed to go around the city when there is a total or partial road space rationing (alternate-day travel). You can enter the ZTL areas respecting the local administrative rules and the rules of the road.
To make a temporary stop, you can find yourself both inside and outside the Service Area (as long as it is inside the Rome G.R.A. or the Milan ring road) and simply following these steps:
  1. Park the scooter in the designated area.
  1. Hop off the scooter and place it on the center stand
  2. Open the app and select ‘temporary park’
  3. Unblock the seat and place the helmet back in by plugging it into the jack
  4. In case the second helmet is being used as well, place it back into the rear trunk, plug it back into the jack and put the keys of the trunk back into the compartment below the seat.
  5. Close the seat
  6. The app will run the final check up to make sure helmets and keys are back where they belong and that the seat has been successfully closed
  7. In case the seat hasn’t been closed properly use ‘Unblock the seat’ option to open it again then close it and press ‘try again’ option on the app to run the final check.
  8. Select ‘Temporary park’ option on the app
  9. The panel instrument will switch off
  10. Confirm the switch off has no issues and your temporary park will start.
